About National Internal Affairs Investigators Association (NIAIA)

The NIAIA is a growing, professional association of IA investigators including those from a variety of public safety and academic agencies—including police, corrections, fire, and EMS—throughout the United States, Canada, and now across the globe internationally. Our association originally formed in 1986 as a state association, changed to a regional association covering the southeast the next year, and became a national entity in 1993. The NIAIA holds an annual training conference that provides instruction specifically geared toward IA investigators. Go to niaia.org/conference to learn more.
