Since its founding in 1912, National Steel Car has continuously designed and manufactured freight cars to meet the ever-changing requirements and standards of the railroad industry. Today, our Hamilton, Ontario facility stands proudly as the largest and most modern "single-site" rail car plant in North America. Our - best in class - freight and tank cars are manufactured on one of five (5) fully integrated assembly lines. Each line employs extensive use of state-of-the-art manufacturing and finishing processes including robotics, CNC parts fabrication and semi-automated assembly.
