About National Stokvel Association of South Africa (NASASA™️)

The National Stokvel Association of South Africa is a self-regulatory organisation mandated by the South African government to represent the interests of the Stokvel sector, as contemplated in Government Gazette 37903. In terms of the Banks Act 1990 (Act No. 94 of 1990), a Stokvel group is required to be a member of NASASA or a similar body approved by the Registrar of Banks. Our organisation sees a future where our society is equal. This will be done through a revision of the financial system, which will be underpinned by the Stokvel method, and owned by the Stokvel constituency. Stokvels will be at the centre of the sharing economy - a key feature of the fourth industrial revolution.
