About National Youth Policy Alliance

The National Youth Policy Alliance is a nonpartisan coalition run by youth with the goal of ensuring a future in which youth voices drive bold, research-based public policies. From what was originally the Windsor City Student Council, a local initiative to bring student street-level voices to municipal affairs, the Alliance has grown into a well-knit network of young leaders across the country. We do not believe youth to merely be potential leaders: they are now the agents of change. Now, by means of research, advocacy, and national collaboration, NYPA enables youth to communicate with policymakers directly, build civic capacity, and work on pragmatic solutions to those issues that define life for their generation. From climate policy to education restructuring, from housing justice to democratic renewal, we cross party and provincial lines ensuring that the priorities of youth are not merely heard but actually implemented.
