Native Network believes that the path to self-determination for Native American Tribes is through control of telecommunications and technology. We help tribes leverage telecommunications systems and services to ensure economic vitality and diversity of their respective communities—enhancing educational, healthcare and business opportunities. Our vision is to build a telecommunications network that connects all the tribes of the United States—a modern network that mirrors historic trade routes. In America’s pre-European history, indigenous people were connected by a sophisticated structure of routes that not only encouraged trade, but also promoted cooperation and prosperity. Using historic trade routes as a model, and modern technology as a means, we create a new age of prosperity for participating tribes and their communities. Native Network understands telecom challenges in rural communities. Our team built the first cellular system in North Eastern Washington, branded as Cellular One. We built the first competitive telephone company delivering dial up Internet and phone service to remote cities in Washington, Idaho and Oregon. We’ve also engineered, designed, implemented and supported both rural and urban competitive wireless and wireline carriers with broadband and telecom infrastructure deployment. Our team has 75+ years of experience in telecommunications, technology, operations, management, and consulting. Our focus is bridging the digital divide in rural and underserved markets, but we have a wealth of experience working in metropolitan and global markets as well.
