About Natrona County Schools

We are Natrona County's only public school district, serving the education needs of about 13,072 students in preschool through 12th grade in the city of Casper, as well as the surrounding towns of Alcova, Bar Nunn, Edgerton, Evansville, Mills, Midwest, and Powder River. In NCSD, we are committed to providing optimum learning opportunities for every child. We are an open enrollment district, meaning parents can choose from any of our 35 schools for their children, regardless of where in the county they reside. We believe that families know their children best, and we understand no single learning environment will meet the needs of every child. We know that today's students need far more than the traditional reading, writing, and arithmetic lessons. In NCSD, we strive to provide all students with optimum learning opportunities and the tools, skills, and knowledge they will need to be successful in the 21st Century. As the largest employer in Natrona County, we also know we play a vital role in the community.
