About Natural Shea Care
Natural Shea Care (NSC) is a black-owned business that produces natural, socially & ethically conscious beauty care products. Their main brand is True Shea which contains shea butter at a higher concentration than other products on the market. NSC believes in community - which is why they invest in local communities (products are made in the USA) and the community where their shea butter is sourced (Ghana). Our founder, Manny Addo, is originally from the country of Ghana and uses his business to give back to the socially and economically disadvantaged women in the community. NSC pays above market prices to these women as part of their fair-trade commitment. A portion of sales are also donated to a community development fund for improving working conditions and other projects such as developing schools, constructing needed facilities, and providing clean drinking water. In February 2022, a clean drinking well was installed in their village. Previously community members would walk 5 hours for clean water, and now they have it readily available.
