About Nature Finance Accelerator
The Nature Finance Accelerator (NFA) is a Swiss-rooted, not-for-profit, mission-driven initiative dedicated to accelerating innovations in nature finance, enabled by breakthroughs in Nature Tech. We operate as a neutral convener and catalyst, committed to delivering public goods. Our mission is to embed nature into financial systems, redirecting capital flows toward nature-positive outcomes and long-term intergenerational value. Our vision is that by 2030, Switzerland is recognized as the premier global launchpad where finance, innovation, and policy converge to drive the nature-positive transformation of the global economy. Our strategy is built on three interconnected pillars, accelerated by the strategic application of Nature Tech, and driven by a clear logic: Prove → Scale → Influence. • Landscape Finance (Prove): We pilot innovative financing structures in Switzerland, leveraging Swiss precision and innovation to embed nature into the logic of capital allocation. • Global Linkages (Scale): We scale these solutions by utilizing Switzerland’s convening power to forge international partnerships, adapting Swiss innovations to global markets, particularly the Global South. • Insights into Action (Influence): We translate proven models into systemic change, influencing policy, regulation, and market norms, and inspiring stakeholders with a narrative built around opportunities. Nature Tech is the accelerator within our accelerator. By strategically deploying cost-effective technologies, we enhance our capacity to deliver disproportionate impact. Our 2030 Ambition To translate this vision into concrete goals, NFA has set three key ambitions to achieve by 2030: 1. Mobilize ≥ CHF 100 million toward NFA-sponsored pilots and projects. 2. Deliver ≥ 5 innovative financial mechanisms adopted and replicated by third parties. 3. Broker ≥ 10 Switzerland ↔ global technology transfers.
