About Nature Network Ireland
Nature Network Ireland strives to protect and promote Ireland’s Wildlife through education, research and conservation. We aim to help restore a healthy, functioning ecosystem for both wildlife and human populations in Ireland. Increasing awareness surrounding conservation is central to achieving this goal, and we believe that through education and participation, we can enhance our communities while protecting our beautiful wildlife. Our Mission Protecting and promoting Ireland’s Wildlife through education, conservation, and research, to restore a healthy ecosystem for all species and peoples of Ireland. The aim of Cork Nature Network is: “To benefit the community of Ireland by promoting and encouraging the conservation of wildlife and habitats by educating and increasing the awareness of the need for conservation in Ireland.” Our Ethos We are fully committed to protecting and conserving the natural environment, as evidenced through many of our past and present projects. We believe every person can make a difference and we recognise the pivotal role our volunteers play. If you are interested in getting involved, please consult our Volunteering and Paid Contracts page. Our Work Cork Nature Network has a team of enthusiastic volunteers from across Ireland, including Dublin, Galway, Wexford, Limerick and Kerry. We run projects, promotions, provide educational packs, undertake surveys, and submit to national bodies on important campaigns. Our long-term projects are Beaumont Quarry, Otters, Green Spaces and our online Education page. We are also part of Cork Environmental Forum. Cork Nature Network is a not-for-profit organisation that complies with the Charities Governance Code.
