About Nature Newfoundland and Labrador
Nature Newfoundland and Labrador (Nature NL; formerly the Natural History Society of Newfoundland and Labrador) is an organization that promoting the enjoyment and protection of all wildlife and natural resources in the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador and surrounding waters. We are affiliated with the national organization Nature Canada (formerly the Canadian Nature Federation). We host monthly interesting guest speakers as well as outdoor events and workshops. Public talks are presently held at the Memorial University. Outdoor events and workshops run year round. Check naturenl.ca for all the info or if you are a member, check your email where you will receive all the updates. We welcome the participation of all citizens and visitors to the province of any age and encourages all to participate in our programs where they feel comfortable (families, children, young adults, and senior citizens alike). Not all of our outdoor events are suitable for all persons, however, we try to offer a balanced program. We also write articles about nature on our blog at naturenl.ca and the best articles each year are done up into our publication The Osprey.
