About Nature Squared
TRANSFORMING WASTE INTO LUXURY Founded in 2000 by Paul Hoeve and Lay Koon Tan, the brand's 220 employees include design, engineering and material technology experts in Switzerland, Germany, the UK, Spain, France, UAE and Hong Kong, and an in-house team of highly skilled artisans at Nature Squared's own production facilities based in Cebu, the Philippines. Nature Squared is a Swiss-based ethical design brand up-cycling organic waste in the Philippines into luxury surfaces and applications. We combine handwork from our master craftsmen in the Philippines with cutting-edge European technologies to deliver creative solutions. WE FOUNDED THE COMPANY TO BE CARBON NEGATIVE We use organic waste diverted from landfill and thus avert methane production that is 80% worse than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas. We base all our production in the Philippines because it is the most vulnerable country to climate change*. We offset our carbon footprint from production. By buying waste from our source communities we supplement subsistence farmers and fishermen and have complete traceability. We employ and train 200 artisans, enhancing their heritage skills with innovative and cutting edge European technology and solutions.
