About Navigating Disability Colorado
Navigating Disability Colorado (NDC) is an independent advocacy company that empowers the disability community with support and training to successfully advocate for their rights within Colorado’s complex system of disability services. NDC is the only Colorado advocacy company that offers step-by-step online courses in how to apply for a Colorado Medicaid waiver and maximize its lifelong benefits so that disabled people and their families can live their best lives. What’s a Medicaid Waiver? Medicaid waivers enable disabled people and their families to qualify for Medicaid benefits by ‘waiving,’ or bypassing, Medicaid’s income restrictions. With a waiver, parental income is no longer a factor – only the income of the disabled person is considered for eligibility. Waivers offer a wide variety of both medical benefits and community services. There are 10 Medicaid waivers available in Colorado. The Medicaid waiver application process is often daunting. That’s why we created courses and services to help people apply for, and maximize, a Colorado Medicaid waiver. Full scholarships that cover the costs of our courses are available for qualifying Metro Denver and Boulder residents. Visit our site to learn more. Course 1: Apply for a Waiver Self-paced, online step-by-step video course that teaches parents how to successfully apply for a Colorado Medicaid Waiver. This course includes Course 2 and live group coaching sessions! Course 2: Maximize Your Existing Waiver Self-paced, online step-by-step video course for parents who have already gotten their child on a Colorado Medicaid Waiver, but need help maximizing its benefits. This course includes live group coaching sessions!
