From informal talks and tours to the development of industry-specific performance standards, the Department of Forest Biomaterials offers a range of technical services to help academic and industry partners overcome their wood products challenges. The Hodges Wood Products Lab offers in-depth analyses and material testing to tackle a wide range of technical and production challenges. Our services include ASTM testing for solid wood and engineered wood composites, mechanical testing of structural materials, connections, and furniture components, as well as sample conditioning.
