About Neeley Next Step
In August 2023, the BNSF Neeley Leadership Program Class of 2025 Cohort started their Impact Projects - a foundational component of NLP where students are tasked with making a significant impact at TCU, within the Fort Worth community, or on a larger scale. For Ellie Huisman, Hayley Singleton, Ellen Shafer, Mack Dougan, Graham Nelson, and Cole Piazza, this meant making an impact on the freshmen and sophomore student body in the TCU Neeley School of Business. After five months of countless hours of program development, meetings with Neeley stakeholders, and pitching their ideas to the Dean and Assistant Dean of the Neeley School of Business, the Neeley Next Step Peer Resource Program was officially approved and prepared for rollout and integration. The Neeley Next Step Program pairs underclassmen with Neeley upperclassmen to facilitate informational discussions regarding majors, minors, certificates, student services, and organizations. Following the communication of this information through 100+ pages of exclusive resources, mentors will serve as a bridge to the Neeley Student Success Services by guiding their students through the materials, facilitating Q&A, providing personal testimonies, conducting goal-setting exercises, and enhancing professional development skills.
