About Neighborhood Connections - Vermont
Our mission is to promote the health and well-being of the people in southern Vermont's mountain towns through advocacy, education, and social services. The agency opened its doors in 2009 out of a need for innovative and cost-effective social outreach in the underserved populations of our mountain towns. We respond to community-identified needs with a range of social services, working closely with public and private resources at federal, state and local levels. Our services include connecting people with the resources they need including food and fuel security programs, meals on wheels & community meals, wellness activities, transportation, health education, counseling, crisis management, and helping people navigate through social service systems. Our core service area includes the towns of Andover, Chester, Jamaica, Landgrove, Londonderry, Peru, Stratton, Weston, Windham, and WInhall, with some services also available in Townshend and Wardsboro.
