About Neighbourhood Network (Humberside) CIO
The Neighbourhood Network is a Hull based charity. It aims to reduce crime, develop a good community and create a safer environment to live in, where people are neighbourly and support one another. The charity encourages community groups to join the Network, and hundreds have already registered from across Hull. These consist of resident groups, neighbourhood watch, tenant and resident associations, community centres, business and retail partnerships, schools, community and voluntary organisations. Our Aims The aims of the Neighbourhood Network are that: • People will be better equipped to reduce crime and anti social behaviour in their community. • People will contribute to, and be better informed of local community safety priorities and activities. • People will benefit from increased participation in community activity and have a greater feeling of belonging. • People will feel safer in their neighbourhood. Why join the Neighbourhood Network? The network provides you with an information channel to and from key partners – including the police, fire service, the local authority - and your neighbourhood. As a member of the Neighbourhood Network your group would get regular local updates. This includes a weekly e-mail with the latest local appeals, events, funding, training and opportunities available to your group’s members. We also offer advice and support to groups who want to do more in their area, including: • Training and networking opportunities. • Advice on how to set up a Neighbourhood Watch group • Help advertising your community events. • Signposting to community safety partners for support. • Volunteering opportunities. • Details of funding available. • An opportunity to take part in our annual Awards event For more information, please visit our website www.nnetwork.org.uk or call us on Tel: 01482 826061 or email us at office@nnetwork.org.uk.
