NELA Supportive Communities is a nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives in Northeast Louisiana by providing safe housing and recovery programs for individuals overcoming substance abuse. Founded in 2021, we address the critical need for structured support and stability in our region, helping residents rebuild their lives and embrace brighter futures. Our mission is to create a supportive environment where individuals can achieve sobriety, regain independence, and reintegrate into the community. Key aspects of our program include: Safe and stable housing that fosters accountability and community. Recovery support through 12-step groups, securing sponsors, and relapse prevention strategies. Life skills training, including job readiness, budgeting, and healthy living. Assistance with re-establishing vital documentation, applying for government services, and meeting probation or parole requirements.
