Since her death in 1949, the Nellie Martin Carman Scholarship has awarded over $4 million to over 1,600 of the most promising high school graduates from King, Pierce and Snohomish counties. Through new and renewed scholarships, approximately 120 Carman scholars are enrolled in Washington colleges and universities each year.
