About NESSACTION

NESSACTION is a ten year old organisation focused on improving the political participation of Young Women and Men in Nigeria through applied research, field work and collaborative engagements. We hold nationwide presence in the 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja by working with Volunteers aged 18-30 (90% of which are Young Women). Young women also occupy our internal leadership structure and advisory board and we strive to let our voices be heard on decision-making tables through political participation. Our project activities in Democracy and Governance and Community Development enable us enlighten Young Women and Girls to get involved in the decision-making processes that affect them while encouraging volunteerism and community development work. We strive to promote their improved political participation and representation in leadership and encourage young women to let their voices be heard. We build and execute new projects as time goes on in order to build the capacity of more young women and girls to actively participate in leadership from a young age. Vision Our vision is a world in which young women and men are well-represented in leadership positions. Mission To serve as an effective organisation collaborating to promote the interests of young women and men on decision-making tables. Goal To be a major proponent of young women and men in leadership in line with Goal 5: Gender Equality of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and Sustainable Development Goals, the 2063 Africa Agenda – The Africa We Want and other related Charters.
