About Nessie
Nessie provides easy access to affordable arts therapies, counselling, support and training so that children, young people and families, can thrive. We provide face-to-face and online support in education and community settings. We offer access to experienced, qualified staff who can help you quickly. What do we do? We support the positive mental health of children and young people who have Significant needs, have experienced Trauma, are Unmet and are in Crisis (STUC). In other words children and young people who do not have obvious access to help. In order to do this, we do three things: • We offer 1-1 and group therapy for children and young people • We offer training and supervision to professionals in educational settings • We offer training forums and support to parents and carers In addition: • Nessie is funded to provide group and one to one support for young people with ASD / ADHD in Hertfordshire • Nessie is a DfE approved Mental Health Leads training provider • Nessie is funded to provide parent/carer support in Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough
