About Neurodiversity Centre

The Neurodiversity Centre provides a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary range of services to children and adults with neuro-developmental challenges, specialising in Social Communication Disorders and conditions on the Autistic Spectrum. Our team consists of specialists in the fields of Clinical, Counselling and Educational Psychology, Developmental Paediatrics, Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatry, Paediatric Neurology, Occupational and Speech & Language Therapy - across our centres in Groot Drakenstein, Durbanville, Stellenbosch, Somerset West and Hermanus. We provide comprehensive diagnostic assessments according to international best practice standards in the field, and offer sustained, individualised interventions for children, adults and impacted families on the Autism Spectrum or related conditions. The term ‘Neurodiversity‘ points to the recognition of the fact that there is a naturally occurring diversity among different individuals in terms of how our brains function. While valuing this variance along with each individual’s unique way of being, we also offer support and guidance regarding considerable challenges people may face in our society as a result of such neuro-developmental differences. We are also truly honoured to be the winners of the Corporate Livewire: South African Prestige Awards 2020, in the category of Neuro-Specialists of the Year! We are proud and affirmed of the effort we have put in and the provision of services at the Neurodiversity Centre.
