Neurological Associates of Albany, P.C.( NAA) offers treatment, research and education for patients and families with memory disorders. For over 30 years, NAA has offered personalized service through clinical care and alternative research options for individuals dealing with the challenges of Dementia, Alzheimer's disease and other memory disorders. NAA's clinical research team is available for consultations and cognitive testing at no charge. Dr. Richard Holub is the CEO & President. The clinical arm of NAA currently has a panel of over 5,000 patients and provides comprehensive Neurological services to over 1,000 patients diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, MCI or other forms of dementia. Dr. Holub also serves as the principal investigator/Medical Director for the Research Division, where he has been conducting Phase II and Phase III clinical trials for more than 30 years. He conducted over 100 successful clinical trials and that research work played a significant role in the investigation of all 5 drugs currently approved by the FDA for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. He and the team of research professionals have also been involved in clinical trials beyond Alzheimer's disease that include: Major Depression, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Multiple Sclerosis, painful Diabetic Neuropathy and other Neuropsychiatry diagnoses The Research and Clinical Divisions encompasses over 6,500 square feet of space and houses five experienced clinical research coordinators, nurses, a psychomatrician, a physician’s assistant and a second neurologist who serves as a blinded physician rater. The office has two fully functioning labs, an infusion suite, exam rooms and testing rooms. NAA also has long standing professional relationships with a number of local imaging centers which allows it to conduct all of the activities that are typically part of standard clinical trials and research.
