About NeuroTherapia

NeuroTherpia, Inc., founded in 2015 by Drs. Mohamed Naguib and Joseph Foss, is developing new therapies for diseases with an underlying component of neuroinflammation. Initial research has led to the development of our lead compound NTRX-07. NTRX-07 (previously known as MDA7) which has been shown to decrease activation of microglial cells in the brain. Decreasing activation of these cells leads to decreased inflammation and decreased injury to surrounding nerve cells. Decreasing this inflammation can treat and even prevent the development of neuropathic pain in settings of nerve injury or chemotherapy. Recent work has shown that blocking this inflammation is also important in reversing the effects seen in Alzheimer's Disease (AD). We have completed initial Phase 1 safety trials of NTRX-07 in volunteers and are planning to do a Phase 2 trial in patients with AD in 2025. Tony Giordano, Ph.D. is the CEO for NeuroTherapia. He is a serial entrepreneur who brings his extensive research background in AD and business experience to the company. Joseph Foss, M.D., has over 30 years experience in translational clinical pharmacology, and has led successful drug development programs in academia and industry. Marianna Kiraly, Ph.D. is the VP for Research and Development. Marianna has over 15 years of experience in research, data analysis and education at academic institutions and corporations. Before joining NeuroTherapia she served as the Neuroscience Lead for Switch Therapeutics.
