About NeuWritePhiladelphia

NeuWrite Philadelphia was founded in 2024 at Thomas Jefferson University by a group of graduate students passionate about science communication. We are part of an international network of neuroscience graduate students, early-career researchers, writers, and artists dedicated to making science accessible to broader audiences. Our mission is to develop creative strategies for communicating advancements in neuroscience to general audiences. NeuWrite functions as a collaborative workshop and forum where neuroscientists and communicators come together to share and refine projects. We meet regularly to discuss works-in-progress—ranging from article drafts to outreach initiatives—and provide feedback at all stages, from initial concepts to final edits. We also invite guest speakers to share approaches for communicating complex neuroscience and other specialized topics to audiences without a science background.
