About Neve Malkishua Foundation

Malkishua is a rehabilitation village with spectacular views that resides amidst magical landscape on top of Mount Malkishua in the Gilboa. Malkishiua was established in 1990 with collaboration between the national council of the “War on drugs and alcohol”, the local municipality of “Beit Shean” region (now called “the valley of springs” region), and governmental agencies of Health, Social ,Social care and Education The crew in the village is composed of professional personnel of the following practice: Medicine - expert clinical psychiatrist, a family doctor, a dentist, and nurses Treatment - psychologists and rehabilitation social workers, various artistic, animals, body-mind therapists Education - teachers, professional educational personnel Rehabilitation - social workers and counselors Apart from the therapeutic communities in the village, our foundation operates other units outside of Malkishua: Youth and adults hostels, Educational and therapeutic houses for girls and a rehabilitation system for drug addicts in the prison system. Malkishiua’s vision is to support individuals with drug addictions and provide them with sustainable patterns and methods to create healthy and nurturing relationship in their environment Malkishiua teaches by setting examples, provides hope and tools for sustainable rehabilitation, demonstrates how change creates opportunity to pave a new and healthy path, and plays an active role in preventing the expansion of the drug circle Applications to the community are accepted through the judiciary system, welfare workers, or private personnel.
