About New Day Advocacy Center
Our mission is to provide a safe haven and support services to victims of Family Violence and Sexual Abuse; and to provide Preventive Education which will challenge the cultural beliefs and attitudes about the use of abusive and controlling behaviors in our communities. New Day Advocacy Center (NDAC) was founded in 1983 and provides shelter and supportive services to survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking. NDAC primarily serves Ashland and Bayfield Counties and the Northern Region of Wisconsin. However, we also provide support to survivors from all over Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Michigan. NDAC provides services to survivors and their families, including but not limited to emergency shelter, job training, life skills education, transportation, safety planning, financial assistance, advocacy (medical, housing, criminal justice, legal, personal, and crisis), and counseling. In addition, NDAC is staffed 24/7 and provides a 24-hour crisis hotline and education and awareness services to the local communities. The services mentioned above are provided by highly trained staff with dozens of years of combined experience and understanding of Domestic Abuse and trauma-informed practices. NDAC strives to provide the most inclusive and welcoming environment to better support people from diverse backgrounds, ages, races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexual orientations, and socioeconomic statuses. Additional supplemental/supportive services that NDAC provides are Self Sufficiency Services, Youth and Family Services, and Culturally Specific Services.
