About New Hope Children's Clinic
New Hope Children's Clinic is a school based health clinic created to increase the access to medical, dental, and vision care for the underserved student population of South Eastern Madison County. The New Hope Children's Clinic will break barriers, change lives, and give hope to children through local, low cost healthcare. NHCC utilizes a multidisciplinary team of health care professionals working side-by-side and coordinating care including pediatricians, emergency physicians, nurse practitioners, a mental health counselor, RN's, Dentists, Hygienists, Opthamologists school nurse, and administrative staff. NHCC works cooperatively with the school nurse, coaches, counselors, teachers, and principals to ensure that the clinic is an integral part of the life of the school. School Based Health Clinic’s have become a valuable asset to the school environment by providing treatment for minor illness and injury, comprehensive physicals for extracurricular activities, behavioral health counseling for troubled students, and treatments for students with chronic or acute distress. NHCC provides these critical services without concern for students’ ability to pay, a service that some students might not otherwise have. New Hope Children’s Clinic is the first comprehensive clinic of its kind in the state of Alabama.
