About New Hope Community Life Ministry

New Hope Counseling Center exists to bring hope and restoration through compassionate, professional counseling. For more than 25 years, we’ve walked alongside individuals, couples, and families in South Central Pennsylvania, helping them navigate life’s challenges with care and dignity. Our licensed counselors provide support for those facing stress, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship struggles, chronic illness, phobias, trauma, and life transitions. We also serve children (ages 6+) through play-based and developmentally appropriate approaches. We believe that counseling should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we offer both in-person and virtual sessions, along with a sliding-scale fee structure to remove financial barriers. While we do not accept insurance, we never turn anyone away for financial reasons. Nearly 70% of those we serve receive reduced-rate counseling through our financial assistance program. This program—called the Hope Chest Fund—is sustained in large part by our nonprofit thrift store, the New Hope Community Closet, and by our annual fundraiser, Taste of New Hope. Every purchase, every donation, and every ticket sold directly supports our ability to provide affordable counseling services, making the community part of the healing work we do every day. Grounded in compassion and hope, our team also welcomes the opportunity to integrate faith when invited, honoring the unique stories and values of each person we serve. At New Hope, healing is not only about overcoming struggles, but about discovering strength, growth, and resilience for the journey ahead. Together, we work to restore lives, strengthen families, and build a healthier community.
