New Horizon Health and Wellness is a unique medical practice that specializes in customized weight loss programs for the over weight and obese population. Using state of the art technology along with a multi-disciplined team approach to patient care, custom treatment plans are created for each patient based on their test results and consideration of their daily lifestyle. The medical staff at New Horizon places great emphasis on educating patients on how to manage diet and exercise, and how to stay focused on their personal goal of improved health. New Horizon empowers individuals to adopt a healthy lifestyle leading to a better quality of life. As a full fledged medical facility, New Horizon offers a wide variety of nutritional food plans including meal replacement plans (OPTIFAST) and FDA approved medications when necessary to help with the treatment of obesity. New Horizon is a provider for most major medical insurances and Medicare and is in the referral network with primary care, family practices, cardio-pulmonary and surgical weight loss specialists. New Horizon's services are complimentary for these practices. Most of our patients are referred by primary care doctors and other specialist. Many other patients are referred by successful friends and family members that are apart of our program. Under the medical director and supervisory physician, New Horizon's staff includes nurse practitioners, registered dietitians, nutrition counselors, weight loss coaches and fitness specialists. Patients enjoy meeting with their team each week for support, guidance and accountability.
