About New Mexico Center For Therapeutic Riding
New Mexico Center for Therapeutic Riding's purpose is to enrich and expand the lives of children, youth, and adults with special needs through equine-related activities and therapies. NMCTR’s is a Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.) certified riding program providing therapeutic riding to expand the cognitive, physical, emotional, and social well-being of individuals with special needs. Students of all ages and abilities learn horse management and riding skills. The ultimate goal for our students is to learn to ride as independently as possible and gain self-confidence from their accomplishments. NMCTR serves over 100 riders each year with nine horses and over 100 volunteers.
