About New Ocean Wave

New Ocean Wave is a race organiser and independent rowing team support provider for Ocean Rowing events and independent challenges. It was founded by former Rowing World Champion, 2 times ocean rower and Guinness World record holder Chris Martin. We founded the Great Pacific Race - ultimate endurance challenge. Teams from around the world race 2,400 miles across the Pacific ocean from Monterey, CA to Honolulu, HI. Crews have taken up to two years to prepare for the race by completing a number of mandated training courses, spent time training in their boat and having every detail checked by the boat and crew inspection team. New Ocean Wave also operates the NOMAN Barcelona to Ibiza race for the HPV and Anal Cancer Foundation which sees teams race the 165nm in an intensely, fast paced side by side race taking 2-4 days. In addition to our organised events we provide independent support for ocean rowers who are new to the sport and would like some guidance, help and assistance in preparing for their ocean rowing challenge, whether that is as part of a race or independently.
