About New Orleans Black Pride
New Orleans Black Pride is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to celebrating, uplifting, and advocating for Black and Brown LGBTQ+ communities in New Orleans and beyond. Founded with the vision of creating safe, affirming, and empowering spaces, we produce the annual New Orleans Black Pride Weekend (a 4-day celebration of culture, community, and resilience), alongside year-round programs that address HIV advocacy, harm reduction, youth empowerment, mental health, and social justice. We are committed to: • Representation: Elevating the voices, leadership, and visibility of Black LGBTQ+ individuals. • Advocacy: Advancing health equity and social justice through partnerships, policy, and education. • Community: Creating intentional spaces rooted in joy, culture, and connection. • Sustainability: Building a movement that invests in future generations while honoring our legacy.
