New Partners Community Solar is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, dedicated to clean energy and environmental justice. We installed: -- The first Community Solar project in Washington, DC -- The first Low-Income Community Solar project in Washington, DC -- The first Solar+Green Roof on a Downtown Washington, DC office building -- The first Solar+Battery Resiliency Hub for vulnerable District residents We have offset over 450 tons of greenhouse gases and provided 1 million kWh of clean energy to the District. All of our solar energy credits are distributed to low-income households in affordable housing in Washington, DC, benefitting over 150 households. Our continued projects look to partner committed companies, building owners, affordable housing managers, government entities, fellow nonprofits, and utilities in order to protect vulnerable citizens, mitigate carbon emissions, and benefit the community as a whole.
