Field-Grown Multistem Trees | British-Grown, Sculpturally Shaped | Supporting Designers, Landscapes & Biodiversity| Based on 80 acres of rolling South Devon countryside, we are one of the UK’s only specialist nurseries dedicated to field-grown, hand-sculpted multi-stem trees and shrubs. Every tree we grow is nurtured on-site from the ground up, carefully pruned, transplanted, and shaped over five or more years to develop a strong root system and a distinct, architectural form. Founded by Philip Nieuwoudt in 2008, New Wood Trees was born from a simple but powerful vision: to grow trees that are climate-appropriate, beautifully structured, and full of individuality, trees that bring something truly special to British gardens and landscapes. We grow species that are native or well-suited to the UK’s conditions, thrive in our soils, and encourage biodiversity. Our trees are peat-free, UK grown, and delivered with care and attention to home gardeners, designers, landscape architects, estates, and developers across the south of the UK. No two trees at New Wood Trees are ever the same.
