About New Works
New Works SA is a San Antonio-based theatre education non-profit dedicated to providing accessible theatre education through our educational scholarships & performance opportunities for students interested in the arts. We aim to give San Antonio youth access to opportunities to learn about theatre regardless of their background or socioeconomic status. EDUCATION We believe that theatre education should be accessible, affordable, and equitable. Our theatre programs teach students of all levels of experience, encouraging learning of every facet of theatre - from design to tech to performance! PRODUCTION Our productions serve as performance opportunities for designers, actors, and playwrights of San Antonio. We select our shows by the motto “by young people, for young people” - creating theatre that inspires the next generation of artists. COMMUNITY New Works is more than just a theatre company - we are a proud part of the San Antonio community. We seek to engage with and give back to our city through community events that bring people together through the arts and support SA artists.
