About New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault
New York City Alliance Against Sexual Assault (The Alliance) leads NYC's mission to end sexual violence through education, prevention programming, research, and policy change. Founded in 1999 by a coalition of rape crisis programs, we work to strengthen NYC's collective capacity to end sexual violence, serving as a central hub for information, resources, and technical assistance and working alongside grassroots organizations to expand and sustain survivor-centered services. We prioritize working with those who are historically underserved, including communities of color, immigrant communities, and LGBTQ+ communities, working through an anti-oppressive lens and centering the expertise of communities most impacted by sexual violence. In the past year alone, our programming has supported more than 3,500 professionals who collectively serve thousands of survivors across the five boroughs. Until we end sexual violence in all forms, we will be here for all survivors and the organizations that serve them.
