About Newburgh Armory Unity Center
The Newburgh Armory Unity Center was opened in 2010 as a place where the youth of our city could pursue athletics in a safe and secure environment. It wasn’t long before we realized the opportunity to add an educational component to the plan and opened a library and began offering literacy training. Soon people began talking about how we were “changing lives.” Now, more than 10 years later, NAUC is a state-of-the-art educational facility that also offers athletics as an option to our students with a requirement of at least one educational class to participate. And, we are changing lives every day – promoting prosperity through education. *Saturday Morning Enrichment Program The Saturday Morning Enrichment Program, our signature program, provides the opportunity for children ages pre-K through 6th grade to participate in reading, writing, math, science, computer science, arts, leadership, and creativity with the ultimate goal to train students to interact with confidence, develop emotional intelligence, and gain a lifelong love of learning. Life skills are emphasized across all subjects for constant reinforcement and long-term growth.
