About Newbury Soup Kitchen
NSK strive to help people by providing a broad spectrum of healthy food provision & outreach to care for those in need in West Berkshire. This is catered around the whole person: physically, emotionally & socially. We spend time with people who need support, encouragement & empathy to improve their situation & future. We support our clients to gain trust, build relationships encouraging growth in confidence, enabling individuals to make better life decisions. Our team of volunteers & outreach workers tirelessly commit to giving vulnerable people in our society the help they require to find their voice. It is very important to us that everyone is treated with respect, kindness & treated as equals, not often experienced by many of our clients in their everyday lives. Striving forward to help prevent homelessness as well as work with homeless individuals to a more positive future. Our long term goal is to find the funding and help to open a COMMUNITY SUPPORT CENTRE in the centre of Newbury to provide the wrap around care and support the homeless and vulnerable so desperately need. This will involve working with other charities and statutory organisations who can come in and provide their services also to help compliment this extensive support.
