The guiding principles on which the company was founded still hold true to this day. We blend our teas using the very best leaves, we use these leaves only to create our own teas, and our founder, Mr Sethia, still personally tastes and approves all teas bearing the Newby name. Newby is the only tea company to have its own dedicated preservation and packing facility, based in Kolkata in the heart of the major tea-growing regions. Our factory is AA-rated for food safety by BRC Global Standards and is comprised of temperature-controlled preservation rooms to ensure every variety of tea is stored in optimal conditions. We protect our teas in specially designed multi-layer packaging for extra freshness, taking the leaves from garden to pack in as little as three months - a quarter of the time of many tea companies.
