About NewGen Emergency Medicine

We founded NewGen Emergency Medicine to build better ED groups for Rural and Community Hospitals. We can operate them more efficiently and at lower costs than the large private Equity-backed corporations that dominate much of this industry. The founding team has spent the last several decades working with these large companies, and we’ve watched as they’ve shifted their focus to urban markets and large systems, steadily becoming less interested in smaller hospitals in smaller towns. We formed NewGen to partner exclusively with rural and community hospitals, as these are the hospitals we feel we can best support and will benefit the most from the efficient, transparent, and cost-effective services we provide. Common themes in this space are remote locations outside major metro areas, challenging recruits, and minimal specialty backup. Most larger groups see these as obstacles and are inclined to avoid them, or if they do choose to operate in this space, it’s not a priority, and they charge accordingly. We’ve operated in this system for decades, developed deep expertise, and see clear opportunities to provide a superior service to this community. We LOVE this space; this is the environment where we’ve thrived for decades, feel most comfortable, and are very good at it.
