About Newtown Youth & Family Services
Newtown Youth and Family Services [NYFS] is a non-profit youth service bureau and mental health clinic for children, teens, adults and seniors. For over 35 years, NYFS has been committed to providing high quality human health services to promote individual and community wellness. Specialized services include: outpatient individual, couples and family counseling, substance abuse treatment services, Autism and social skills programs, prevention initiatives and support groups. We provide services in our office, community and home based settings. All of our services are guided by our mission of helping all individuals and families reach their highest potential. We aim to provide the necessary support and resources to all community members as they encounter challenges across the lifespan. We endeavor to work collaboratively with other providers and systems involved to ensure the best possible outcomes for each individual or family. We seek to build upon individual and family strengths to foster the development of skills to not only survive, but thrive. NYFS has an array of year-round activities, programs, and events for all ages, interests, and abilities. Our programs provide opportunities to learn new skills, stay active, and connect with the community.
