In others, they focus on research topics assigned by their academic supervisors, ensuring their work aligns with formal curricula and faculty expertise. Whether developing original research proposals, presenting on thematic topics, or defending their findings, students participate in a transparent, faculty-supervised evaluation process. Each year, the most outstanding contributions receive formal recognition and financial awards, helping to remove barriers to visibility and progression in research careers. Beyond recognition, NexEdge provides ongoing mentorship to awardees and promising participants. This mentorship offers guidance on advancing their research, enhancing academic writing, preparing for conferences, and planning career pathways, equipping students with the skills and confidence to thrive as emerging scholars and innovators.
