About Next Level Academy International

N.L.A. International is a fully accredited 501c3 nonprofit specializing in after-school sports training for at-risk youth. We understand that we can make a significant difference in the kids, their futures, and the community by developing their passion while developing an understanding that they are more than just athletes. Far too often these kids identify as athletes only, and once that is taken from them for whatever reason (academic ineligibility, injury, etc.) they fall down a self-destructive path. A facility centered around their passion (sports) will allow the staff the opportunity to develop the student-athletes in every facet of life, not just sports. Academic tutoring and character development through mentoring are pillars in development of these kids. The kids will know they are a student first and academic achievements will be celebrated to a greater extent than athletic success. Passion brings out the best and worst in people, both of which are opportunities for growth, and both will be used to develop the character of our participants. The distribution of resources for school-aged children is as imbalanced as ever. These kids did not choose to be disadvantaged, they did not choose their environment. By getting to them young (K-8) and staying with them through their most impressionable years we know we can make a substantial difference in community indicators (graduation rates, crime rates, college attendance, etc.). It's our obligation to provide resources and opportunity to those in disadvantaged positions, these kids deserve a level playing field. They have far too many obsticles, all of which are no fault of their own.
