About NextGen Leaders

NextGen Leaders is the only organization dedicated to providing coaching, mentoring, issue education and networking to the LGBTQ communities as well as other groups with shared experiences and identities that face systemic bias and discrimination. Our programs are strengths-based and taught largely by members of the communities we serve. As of mid-2020, six cohorts totally nearly 150 people have completed the NextGen Program for Emerging LGBTQ Leaders. In addition to our program for Emerging LGBTQ Leaders, NextGen Leaders, in partnership with other organizations, is developing a dedicated leadership development program for the Transgender and Gender Nonconforming community. We anticipate offering this 3-day "boot camp" twice each year. ***Because of the on-going crisis with the COVID pandemic, all NextGen Leaders programs and courses will be delivered either as live, remote classes or as on-demand that can be pursued individually at the learner's own pace.*** Where possible, our programs are offered cost-free to our participants. Programs that require a participant co-investment come with scholarships for participants with severe financial constraints. The work of NextGen Leaders is generously underwritten by corporate and philanthropic partners. The Next Generation LGBTQ Leaders Initiative, the precursor to NextGen Leaders, was piloted by Tedstrom Associates, LLC and generously underwritten and supported by the Coca-Cola Company from 2016-2018.
