About Ngoryisi Foundation
We build brands that catalyse social progress in Africa, helping individuals help themselves, their communities and countries. Our aim is to bring about positive change through communication and informed actions. Our mission is to provide millions of people across Sub-Saharan Africa with free access to the network, the tools and knowledge they need to empower themselves. It is by connecting individuals and communities through knowledge and discussion that positive social change can occur, catalysed by millions of people all over Africa. Our work is based on an idea that took its first shape 20 years ago with Dr. Susann Dattenberg-Doyle’s work in Ghana. Our products are relevant and our impact direct because of the many years of learning with, through and for our audience. Our brands cover a wide range of subject areas - to suit a diverse and broadly interested audience. All our work is original and our brands are created specifically for our audience in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our audience has grown to over 6 Million people in over 45 countries. 99% are based in Africa. Of them, 52% are aged 18-24, a generation making significant changes to their communities and the world around them. On a daily, basis we reach hundreds of thousands of people with our materials and content. Our team is comprised of members with different personalities, cultures and experiences. A strong commitment and a passion for social impact and effecting positive change is what has brought us together. We combine all our skills and knowledge to come up with new and creative ways of connecting with our audience and instigating positive social change across the whole of Sub-Saharan Africa. Working together with an ever expanding community of dedicated individuals who donate their time and knowledge, we can make sure that systematic and sustainable change is possible.
