About NHS Benchmarking Network
Established in 1996, the NHS Benchmarking Network (NHSBN) is a member community of health and social care providers and commissioners, and like-minded organisations. We deliver national and bespoke benchmarking projects to support planning and service improvement across the acute, community, and mental health, learning disabilities and autism sectors. NHSBN is unique because it is a member-led organisation dedicated exclusively to the NHS and health and social care sectors. We offer a collaborative approach to benchmarking, bringing together expertise from across the system to drive improvement in care quality, efficiency, and outcomes. We source and collect data, sharing our project findings with our members throughout the year. NHSBN has a range of data tools available to members. There are regular events and networking opportunities to share best practice and encourage data transparency. NHSBN exists to support collaboration and learning with the focus on patient outcomes and system working. Access to the member programme is by Foundation Membership or Insight Membership. We also deliver an audit programme, workforce programme and bespoke projects to support the benchmarking needs of health and social care organisations.
