Nico Hambleton is an award-winning DOP, Cameraman & Qualified Aerial Drone Pilot with industry-grade kit. Nico specialises in single camera, PSC, documentary filming, but also has experience across a broader spectrum of projects such as entertainment, sports and live/pre-recorded studio & OB. He also provides services to create full productions from films to branding and can recommend excellent additional crew. His strengths on location consist of producing high quality work efficiently, tackling sensitive subjects and having strong communication skills with presenters and contributors. He’s learnt to navigate challenging environments including those that have required special access. He will always do his utmost to get the best shot. This includes creating the best lighting too; something that he enjoys and excels at, particularly for interviews. He owns industry grade kit along with a range of lenses, sound and lighting equipment. He can also easily acquire any other or additional equipment through tried and tested kit houses. He loves the outdoors and extreme sports therefore is able to adapt and cope with a wide range of demanding scenarios and climates. He was an ex-qualified ski instructor and enjoyed performing to an advanced level both on and off-piste. As a result, he is trained in mountain and avalanche survival. When not on the slopes, you can find him on the rocks or the sea! He has also taught kitesurfing which has given him good knowledge with open waters and his more recent enjoyment of rock climbing has allowed him to explore and expand his knowledge to rope access. He believe these traits help him achieve those once-in-a-lifetime shots!
