About Nigeria Youth SDGs Network (NGYouthSDGs)
Nigeria Youth SDGs (NGYouthSDGs) is a youth-led organisation empowering young people to shape Nigeria’s development. Founded in 2017 as an informal network of over 200 youth-led and youth-focused organisations, we began with a mission to ensure young people are at the heart of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Nigeria. In 2021, NGYouthSDGs was registered as the Network of Youth for Sustainable Initiative, to support youth and youth groups to advocate for social change, influence policies, and lead solutions that impact their lives and communities. We champion meaningful youth participation in policies and programmes so that young Nigerians can lead, thrive, and drive inclusive development. Our work focuses on: 1. Education and leadership development – equipping young people with knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead 2. Employment and livelihoods – supporting youth economic empowerment and opportunities 3. Civic participation – amplifying youth voices in governance and decision-making processes We believe that when young people are meaningfully engaged, Nigeria’s future is stronger, more inclusive, and sustainable.
