About NIGHTLINE
We are a nonprofit organization focused on helping make Canadian universities a better, happier place by providing a student listening service, open at night and run by students for students. Every university term, trained student volunteers answer calls about anything that’s troubling the caller. As the Nightline volunteers are fellow students as well, they can directly empathise with their callers’ problems. With the help of our tireless staff, we work hard to create local support service available to students at night, community-building events, and in-depth training sessions for our volunteers. We want to provide every single student access to Nightline so that fewer students have their education, or life, compromised by emotional difficulties. Our mission is to raise the quality, profile, availability, and accessibility of Nightline services so that every student is aware of, and has access to, confidential emotional peer support, as well as the opportunity to volunteer for a Nightline.
