About Nipomo

Born on the border of California and Mexico, we were raised at a cultural crossroads. As a mother and daughter team (Elizabeth and Liz) we collaborate with skilled artisans from our home country of Mexico. Designing a modern product with traditional methods of making allows us to create unique products while preserving a slice of history, art, and craft. The design process starts at our Berkeley studio, taking inspiration from its diverse landscape. Leather straps are handcrafted in our San Diego studio. Our colorful blankets come straight from a family run business in the heart of an old artisan city in Mexico. Each item is created as a tribute to Mexico’s color and craft.
